I got my dress at Davids Bridal...it was $300 and I love it!! I am a very low-maintenance person and the dress was just what I wanted (no train, etc.)...I know alot of people don tthink much of DB but I had a great experience there, and I would definitely recommend at least checking it out!

yes, I bought my dress from there and it was pretty cheap and it was what i was looking for.

i got mine there... no problems with getting it in... (alterations at gownfind though) quick, came in in like 3 weeks?) just make sure you tell them you want a NEW dress they have to try to see you the off the rack stuff first.. just make sure you make that clear

I GOT MINE THERE BUT WAN'T THAT CHEAP $1100. OFCOURSE I WOULD PICK THEIR MOST EXPENSIVE DRESS. LOL...WHAT CAN YOU DO, IT WAS THE ONE.....

I just want to say a couple of things about David's Bridal. I went for my friends first fitting. My friend bought her dress there. It's beautiful. It cost her about 500+ When I asked where the garment bag was they said you have to buy one. What? So I bought her one. It was 10 dollars or something ridiculous like that. Then she got charged for alts. $250.00 NO CAP!!! I feel like they charge you up the wazoo for everything. Jeez! You just spent $800 there and you can't give the brides a $10 garment bag for free with the dress?
I would also like to say that that was my only experience with them. I have no comments other wise.

Just wondering..if you buy a dress at Davids bridal do you have to automatically do the alterations with them, or can you buy the dress and have the alterations done else where? TIA

you can buy it and have the alterations done elsewhere definitly. I didnt buy my gown there but went there for my bridemaids dresses. We have had a great experience so far , but they will not be getting alterations done there for the main reason that there is no cap and most of them need a lot of work done. They pretty much order the dresses, then come in if they fit great, if they are too small the reorder a size bigger no charge, if they are too big thats ok .. you take them home and then if you want alterations done there you bring the dress back 2 months before wedding and get altered if not the dress is yours and you take it where you want to alter it. HTH...
