I am looking into buying wedding insurance and I am looking at different plans. Does anyone have any experience with, recommendations for, or insight about wedding insurance?

Re: Did anyone buy wedding insurance?
we did. A waste. Worried about all these things that did not happen. Although we had good reason our Hall had been only open 1 year & my grandmother was ill at the time. It covers mostly death or act of GOD or your recepition place filing chapter 11 along with vendors!
THAT IS REALLY IT!
Geico insures w/Travelers? I think that is what we got. Free qoute on line.

We kept talking about it but never got it. I would say if you are using an uber expensive hall or photographer, do it cause you never know, but looking back, we didn't need it.
We DID, however, pay for HM insurance. Again, we were ok and didn't need it, but I'm glad we paid the extra $100 for it.
When we were looking at wedding insurance, we looked at WedSafe and also through GEICO, since we have our car and apt insurance through them.

i got married in febraury 2 days after that ice storm. wedding insurance does NOT cover weather.... also, most of your vendors have insurance... and god forbid, someone died, you would be surprised at how gracious vendors can be with rescheduling...
ETA: I forgot to say.... we did NOT purchase insurance and did not even think about it.

This is exactly why we didnt get it. Most vendors as long as you give them time will change the date if need be, even our RH was willing to change the date no extra charge.

No I didn't get it, I didn't feel it was necessary.

Yes i did because I was getting married on the water and just in case there was a hurricane and damage done to my reception hall, or if for some reason my guests could not get there due to bad weather we would be covered for that.
