Did anyone change their name on DL first then SSC?

I am wondering if anyone changed their name on their driver's license first...then did Social Security Card. That is what I plan on doing!

i did my driver's license but still have yet to do SS

there really is no order to doing the big 2 first. some do SS first and some so DL first

Yup I did it that way.

I had the form filled out from SS website and you have to bring your old SS. And don't forget your marriage license!

I did SS first only because their office opened earlier. That was my priority because I wanted to get the changes done at work.

It took all of 15 minutes at SS, and then 10 minutes at DMV. Took me longer to travel to the offices than the whole proceedure.
