Did anyone do the album from the bride to the groom?

I know this is a personal question..but I have to ask because I am considering it..they have those albums where the bride goes in and is half naked and they take pictures..they are tastefully done..we saw one at perceptions..the sales lady had us look through it and my fiance likes that whole concept ( hes a pervert anyhow!! heehee)..but then we went tp Patken and they told us they do that there too. So now I am considering it...am I crazy? I dont think I can actually sit there and try to pose sexy..its not my personality and I would probably either feel rediculously stupid or I would bust out laughing..im just curious if anyone has done it and if it was hard to do. I know that they are professionals and would do a nice job..I was just wondering how you stop from laughing..if anyone has done it. Maybe I could drink a few bottles of wine first! haha I would love anyones advice on this because I have never seen this done before..maybe I am just out of the loop! HELPPPP

ok..now Im feeling pretty silly for even asking..noone is responding..I gathered from the photographers that these albums were pretty common...uhoh,,,,

I'll respond. I've heard of it, but it is just not my style. I'm sure other people have done it though.

I would consider the cost first, a wedding is so expensive and would he be the only one to see the pics? The ones at Patken that are hanging up, with the silk sheets are tastefully done and I personally think you could display them in your bedroom! If you really like it go for it!!! I'm sure you could make sure that only you, FH and the photographer would be in the room

I will tell you all a funny story. I used to babysit for this couple who were 'older'. Ok I was 14 at the time and they were in their mid 40's who had a baby late in life. They could have been my parents.

Anyway, they had the pics posted in the den and the bedroom. The one in the den was an 8 x 10 and she had a piece of material wrapped around her head. Kind of like rambo. Her hand was on her hip and she was doing the Kelly Lebrock pout.

The one in her bedroom was in full view when you walked passed their room. It was huge like a 20 x 20 in this lavish gold frame. She was in lingerie looking in a mirror sprawled out in the bed.

Now they were this yuppy couple and she was a school teacher so I could never get it out of my head.

They winded up seperating many years later but I wonder who got the pics and where are they hanging?????

I think it's a cool idea. I'm just to chicken to do it I would feel very uncomfortable. How much does Patken charge for that?

Jen..that is a funny story! I saw Photographer Steves pic with his wife..I like those pictures..they are actually on their web site..when we went to Patken, they told me that people do those pictures as engagement pictures. I would just feel dumb posing like that in front of ANYONE..I keep trying to talk myself out of it..but the thought keeps coming back into my head. Well thanks everyone for their input..if anyone knows of anyone who has done it..let me know..and if anyone ends up doing it..PLEASE let me know. I may call to check prices just for the heck of it..I wsih someone could go in there and pose for me and then they could just put my face on the body..heehee

If my hubby was up for something like that I would of love to do that. I mean that is something you either do now or never. I say go for it.

Thankyou everybody for all of your advice! Im still chicken though..but like you said..its now or never..and I agree with that..My sister was even saying once you have children..your body is never the same..she said I should do it now..before ' its too late'//isnt that enncouraging?

i've never heard of this!!

i wouldn't do it but i'm hardly comfortable with fi seeing me naked, let alone a photographer!! haha. plus at my eng party i was so embarrassed w/ the photographer giving me all this attention. but i'm weird about things.

it would be interesting to do i think. you should look further into it. i'm sure they make you feel very comfortable as they are professionals.

Thankgod some of you think its a good idea..I was beginning to feel a bit sleazy! The first album I saw was at Perceptions Photography..and then the next day when we went to Patken..they had some photos that they told me were engagement photos of the couple..it looks like they are naked but all you really see are their heads and necks ..the pic of Steve and his wife are on their website..she is the blonde ,,it looks like she is laying down looking straight at the camera and then Steve is laying sideways looking at her...but the ones Im talking about..is the lady at Patken was telling me that you go into a room..she was telling me about this girl who came in and had several outfits and I guess just took a bunch of pictures..the album I saw like I said was at perceptions and the girl had not sleazy cheesy lingerie, but actually nice lingerie, she covered up her chest with her hands and all of the photos were in black and white, it was a small album, maybe with 10 5x7's I think. Ill call tomorrow to see how much they are..if they are rediculously expensive..then atleast I wont have to even think about it anymore..if I can afford it, then I have too see how I can do this without feeling wierd!

I sometimes think about doing something like that for my FI. But I really don't think I could pose or even be in front of a stranger almost naked so it would probably never happen. I know my FI would love it though, that would be so up his alley.

Thankyou everyone..I dont know if I have the guts either..its not my personality at all..I thought about bringing my VERY wild and single girlfriend with me..she thinks its agreat idea and she could cheer me on..well thankyou everyone for your advice..if ya happen to come across anyone who has doen this...let em know..Im curious to see what its really like. I called Patken this morning..but havent herad back yet.
