lie about their wedding date to the bridal shop? I told mine that I was getting married on June 23. Everytime I go in there they ask and I have to pause. They must either be used to it or think I'm crazy!

I'm such a bad liar.... (I never even tell white lies... so this was a departure for me...)
needless to say, I told them something like mid may, and when I showed up, I told them 6/9

I did the same thing. I finally told them my real date when I went in for my first fitting because I kept getting confused when they asked. I just told them that the sales lady put down 2 weeks early since I don't live in NY.

I really want to tell the truth because otherwise I will have to pick my gown up three weeks early! I guess I should just confess

I did, I told them I'm getting married 3 weeks earlier than my actual wedding date. Everyone told me do it because of alteration....they are very slow and you don't want to pick up your dress a day before your wedding.
