I can't shift my weight to my left leg if I do my hip gives out and I am on my ***.. earlier in my pregnancy I had a problem with siatica but that was more from my back down my butt to my leg and thankfully it went away (or so I think) and I was able to walk it off.. This is making it near impossible for me to sleep, bend, lift, drive or get dressed while standing atleast... very difficult.
I am up about 40lbs so I am guessing that is part of the problem (even though they wanted me up more then 50 at this point) and I am calling the OB clinic today to ask them about it, all else fails I finally have an appointment on friday but honestly it ***** and I'm fearing labor and the next few weeks if this continues because it really hurts.
Did anyone else have this? I'm 32 and 1/2 weeks...

Re: Did anyone else have this hip problem?
I went to the chiropractor most of my pregnacy to help with that type of pain...You might want to consider that or even a pregnancy massage. Sometimes the weight just makes your body hurt more.

Re: Did anyone else have this hip problem?
I am 31 weeks and I have a pain going down the back of my left leg that stops right above the back of the knee. I guess that's sciatica. I try to walk to off most of the time. At night I sleep with pillows between my legs to ease the pain. Plus, I scheduled a pre-natal massage in the next few weeks. I hope that works!!!

Do you have any numbness or any other loss of sensations? I'd have it checked out by a doctor. It sounds a bit like a decrease in muscle control. The baby could be causing a pinched nerve and that could be part of the problem.

Michelle, Thanks I'll look into that!
Stephanie,
That was exactly how my siatica was .. I learned I was able to walk it off or if Dh made a fist and did a rough massage it would help
Michelle,
My OB clinic won't see me any earlier then Friday so I'll have to wait and see.. They are guessing especially since I have dropped a ton is that the baby is engaged and I'm just going to have to try tylenol, heat and taking it easy.... or I can wait till Dh is around and have him help me navagate our garden tub but since I'm not as light as I used to be it may not be worth the effort!

Re: Did anyone else have this hip problem?
Just take it easy, stay off stairs if you can and let your hubby do as much around the house as he can until you get looked at.
I'm sure its just the way the baby is resting and pressing on your back and hip but better safe than sorry!
