Did anyone else's FH....

laugh at them when they asked them to enter the contest on her blog?

My FH initially responded 'ugh' then when I asked him again, he laughed at me, and asked why I wanted him to do it. When I responded that I just wanted him to, to maybe get some more money off the invites, and I just wanted him to be honest, his response was 'Why do you subject yourself to this???'

Then of course when I try to tell him I'm upset by his response, he gets annoyed with me.....what, am I not going to like his answer to the question or something???

I know he's not romantic, AT ALL, but I was just hoping he could do this for me. And I wasn't asking him to write a novel or poem or anything, just to be honest.

aww im sorry

i actually thought my FH would have that same reaction...but when i told him about it I was like here you should do this so we win FREE stuff, he actually agreed without a fight. I think it was because I strongly emphasized the free stuff!

Aww laura... That sounds like exactly what I was expecting my fh to reply to me. He's so not romantic or mushy. I was completely shocked that he did it. For what its worth I think the only reason he didn't laugh at me is because of the amount of stress I'm under at work. I had a mini breakdown on sunday night and I think he was afraid of more tears if he didn't do the contest!!

I know too well what you are saying. FH is just not an outwardly emotional/romantic. It's annoying and frustrating. Mostly because I don't 100% understand it.

Tell him Steve already did it and used a movie quote. Maybe that'll get him motivated. They can then quote movies together lol.

LOL, I saw Steve's. I don't think I can tell Mike that, or he'll never let Steve live it down.........if Mike uses a movie quote it'll be from Dogma or Mallrats or something

Aww, my FH laughed at me at first. But as soon as I said it could save us some money on the invites/or we can win free stuff, he got up and has been working on it..since YESTERDAY!

Laura, I asked FH last night and he goes, so like I have to write something (knew he wouldnt do it but asked just for kicks). Im like yeah, you have to write something. He blankly stared at me and then asked if I wanted to watch something else. Ummmmm yeah

I'm sorry Laura! My fiance is the SAME way and then when I get upset about his responses, I get the 'I don't get why you're upset' look. I didn't even ask my fiance because I knew he'd just say no. Yesterday he actually asked me 'why do you have to be on Long Island Weddings all the time'? I just answered him with 'why do you have to be on fantasy hockey all the time?'

i asked him to enter a contest and he said he'd check it tomorrow. the poor thing was so tired last night, i didnt have the heart to 'force' him to do it. i knew that once he found out what he would have to do, he'd tell me no effin way. so i didnt bother.
