Did anyone enroll their children in Saf-T-Swim?

Did anyone enroll their children in Saf-T-Swim?

I was thinking of enrolling Amber and myself in a Mommy n' Me class over at Saf-T-Swim. I have a coupon for the class and since we got a pool for next year, I thought it would be a good idea. I know she's only five months old but I heard that babies adapt to swimming very naturally. We have all the precautions in place for the pool (fold up ladder for the deck, etc.) but I want to feel 100% secure. Any opinions on this idea?

I went to Water Babies (same thing, actually the same building as Saf-T-Swim) when I was a baby.

Emmas been going since she was 14 months old. She can fall in the water and knows to get herself to the edge and hold on. She can swim about 5 feet underwater. She knows to hold her breath. She loves the water. Shes been going for almost 14 months now and she loves it!

I already have baby #2 signed up for April (due in Jan). Its free from 2-6 months.

I HIGHLY recommend Saf-T-Swim or any other program that will help a child learn to swim and potentially save their life one day.

Also, I have Emma in the individual class with the instructor. After her lesson she gets 1/2 an hour in the pool for play time with me. I love it!!

I havent entered my boys but, swim classes are supposed to be excellant for children. The eaarlier you start them the better.

I actually taught there for one summer many, many years ago. It's a really good program. Parents were always coming in, telling us how their children were able to take care of themselves if they fell in a hot tub or even a bathtub. It is amazing what little babies could do. I taught from five month olds and up. The earlier you start them, the easier it is for them to learn and the more comfortable they are around water.
