Did ANYONE EVER GO TO HUGS???

Did any of you guys go to it? It was in Wading RIver, people from all over the Island went to it...I wnet to a few of the sessions,a dn absolutely LOVED it....remember it well, and met some great people there...just wondering if any of you guys did it!!

ITs called HUGS---it stands for Human Understanding Growth Seminars....I was in HS...with all kinds of people from the Island, you have your own home groups that you are put into when you first get there, and usually you know nobody else there...(at least we did nto because it was a small HS I came from) and you address and discuss life things...death...drugs...pregnancies...dreams...ambitions....you have osme guest speakers, like we had someone from domestic abuse center, osmeone who was anorexic, someone who was blind...and you just learn, lots of hugs...you have then 'fuzzy wuzzy' which is likea big pompom on a necklace, and anytime you give or get a hug, you tie a piece of your pom pom onto their string...they have some big groups that meet at night....and everyone who wants to get up there to :'shine' d0oes..some people sing, some play mucical instruments, some read poems, some dedicate songs....its a really touching experience....and I made some good friends this way...

I know this is an old post, but just wanted to let Holly know that I went to HUGS(about 9 years ago when I was 15). It was wonderful, I only went oncebecause I moved & I had gone thru my school.
