did anyone feel that...

Did anyone feel that their friends were TOO generous with their gifts.

My friend just told me that she was giving Rob a two day trip to some getaway (Bed & Breakfast type place) since we didn't know if we would be able to afford to take a honeymoon right away. Even if we can take one she is still INSITING on giving this to us.
She is graduating with me and I know she has a lot of loans to pay back so I feel that she is being overly generous. I was totally speechless when she told me today. She also wants to give me an engagement gift ON TOP OF THIS. I tried to talk her out of it - but she tells me the more I say NO the more she will spend!

then hush up.....

My friends are all being SOO much more generous than I think many family members will be. I just can't believe it

Wow That sounds sweet though...I guess it feels overwhelming right?!

I felt the same about my MOH which is also my sister. Besides an extremely generous wedding gift and an awesome shower she paid for our wedding night at Danford's.

Just take it as they love you that much and now they can show it to you moniterally (sp?)!!! Just say thank you and enjoy it - that's all they want you to do!

That is so sweet! I would graciously accept it and then do something just as special for her when her time comes.

Well she told me if she ever gets married she wants me to be here MOH. She is soooo cute - telling me YOU CAN'T move away - or how will I spoil your children rotten with gifts etc. She has told me that I am her families adopted daughter (I have only met her cousin not her mother yet- although she was my roomate in Berlin so I have spoken to her mother on the phone)

This was the girl I was looking to honor at the wedding. But since she wasn't thrilled with being a BM I needed to find something else to offer her. She now wants to help me plan the wedding - she is looking for flowers for me and everything. She is just soooo adorable.
