I actually would like to know as well. Also, where do you put them, reception or ceremony?

Re: Did anyone get a memory candle?
I am going to have them at both I think. At reception I may have it on a seperate table with a picture or maybe on the place card table or at mine and fh table. Im just not too sure yet.

Ok, I think I may do it at the reception at our table. We need 2. One for my father and one for his. But I want it at the ceremony, too. I just feel that at the ceremony it will be burning for a half hour then to bring it to the reception.

Re: Did anyone get a memory candle?
So far the prices I have been seeing are around 50 for them but Im not too fond of the one I keep seeing. To me it is kinda plain. I am having it for FH father so i only need one. But if you wanted to have just one I am pretty sure you can put more than one name on it.
I think I may have misread what you said, you want 2 so you can relight a new one at teh reception? Thats a good idea as well just in case it gets left behind by accident.

You can alway smake them too.. I made several to be blessed at church and lit at the reception.
here is a website that sells them... kinda pricey though... i was thinking of making my own by printing out the wording on vellum and wrapping it around the candle or something...

How did you make them?

Re: Did anyone get a memory candle?
I used vellum and a plain white pillar candle. I wanted to try and keep the color scheme so I found the cinnamon colored 'silk' ribbon at Michaels. To keep the vellum edge hidden along the top you need ribbon there too. The only problem is you can see through the white in that style so I went with a heavier but thinner type for the top. The 'jewel' at the top I found also at Michaels. I just glued it on. Just use double sided tape to hold the vellum to the candle and the ribbon to the vellum.

Re: Did anyone get a memory candle?
I am doing one for our grandmothers. They are engraved with their names. I got mine at Jean M Wedding essentials on line for $29.99. I am doing the remembrance at the church. I will post the link for you for the website.

Re: Did anyone get a memory candle?
I did them myself because I had 8 to make and that adds up pretty quick. They take very little time to put together.
