Yup--I've gotten 8 this week.....8!!! How can THAT many people need to have emergency surgery?????? Such a coincidence.....I'm not sure who to believe!!!

i had 4 the week of the wedding, but it was before I had to give the final count to the hall, and 2 after that.

I got cancellations up to the last week of the wedding. I actualy lost an entire table by the time all was said and done.

Most peopel get cancellations the week of I think I am going to tell my hall 4 less people then the final number & just pay for those 4 people the day of...I don't want to have to pay for too many people that end up not showing up. I know someone that ended up paying for a whole table that didn't show up & my friend in june had at least 5 not show.

We had 4 cancellations after we paid the final bill 10 days prior. Lombardi's allowed us to come back after the honeymoon for 4 dinners which was nice, I suppose.
People who have not planned a wedding in a long time or at all don't realize the problems this causes. We did not have any no shows, thank God!

This is true! We had 112 RSVP's...but I knew we would get no shows, so we only paid for 100ppl (our minimum). Thank God because we got A LOT of no shows.

We got 1 cancellation about 1 week and a half before (friend having a rough pregnancy and on bed rest). But it was before the final number for the hall but I still told my hall about 6 or 8 people less and will just pay for them the day of. The banquet manager actually told us we should do this!

We didnt get any the week before BUT we had 4 people not show up. One couple had a health related problem which is understandable. THe other one DH has not even heard from since!

I'm just wondering how this works? If you want to pay for a few less in case of no-shows, but you provide placecards for the exact number people who RSVP'd, does the RH question it?

I know that there are 6 people who have told me that they are unsure if they are attending...i am going to provide the placecard but tell the hall that they are undecided and I will pay for them the day of if they come.
