Since Casey is going in for her surgery tomorrow, the vet asked us if we wanted to get the chip for her as well.

Yes - we got Bama microchipped at a pet expo a couple of months ago. It's a very quick and simple procedure. They inject the chip under the skin at the back of the neck.

Loki came with the chip already in him. I will be asking my vet about the chip for the Pug & the new pup

Our dog and cat both have the chip, and no problems with either one of them. It just made me feel better having them.

Hades already had a chip in him as well. He's an indoor cat, so I don't worry. But if he ever got out, I'd feel better knowing that he had the chip. I think its HomeAgain pet system. There are two major ones.

our pg/beagle mix is chipped....he came that way. IT's cool because the chip also contains all his medical records so if he were to get lost or we had to give him up, his vet care is on file.

I don't even remember Oscar flinching!!!! The vet lifted up some loose skin and then injected it under that and I don't know if Oscar knew that anything happened other than that the vet pulled on his skin a little bit.
He's pretty good w/ shots, though.

My Italian Greyhound came w/ his chip. There have been abs. no problems and its comforting to know if anything happens, the info is 'stored' in him

my dog has the chip. It's good because if he gets lost all they have to do is tka ehim to any vet and they can trace him. Also if he were to be stolen and resold, when the new owners brought him to the vet, they vet would find out. (Vets will often can for a ship in a dog they haven't seen before, especially a purebred)
