Did anyone give gifts to their RE Agent or Mortgage Broker?

I couldn't imagine working with a better agent. And our mortgage broker is a friend and didnt take commision to give us a lower rate.
They also both gave us gifts yesterday!
And does anyone have ideas?

Depending on what you want to spend, here are some ideas:

gift certificate to local restaurant
nice bottle of wine
gift basket from Dean & Deluca or Harry & David
Cookie bouquet that says Thank You

I had the real estate agent from hell. i found the listings and drove around to see what they looked like and when i wanted to go inside she made me drive her. we got to one house and she said she didnt know what she did with the lock box key so we drove 40 minutes for nothing.

she lied to us about the time frame to get in and was in cahoots with the sellers. i drove by the house before i bought it and her car was in the driveway. she wasnt the listing agent she was solicitated by me.

we gave her nothing. i didnt want to even sit at the closing table. she is so money hungry she asked the other agent to see her comission check to make sure the got the same amount. she gave us a really gaudy pot to put a plant in it. we donated it to the garbage man.

We gave our builder a wine basket and we gave our mortage broker a Gift Certificate to his favorite place to eat.

RE Agent I am going to get a gift cert for dinner somewhere. She went out of her way to help us I guess it helped that she was my cousin but she honestly showed us close to 150 homes in a 2 month time frame. We were in houses either the day they came on the market or the day after. And the sadest thing is the buyers agent only gets 1% of the sale same with the Listing agent and meantime is the buyers agent that is doing most of the leg work.

The mortgage guy is getting nothing from me what a wheeler and dealer he is. He is making more than enough $$ on me and to date hasnt gone out of his way in any way shape or form.

OK so I decided that I am going to give them both gifts since I feel they did an unbelievable job for us.
So what do I get them?

Our mortgage friend gave us a $50 GC to Home Depot and a bottle of wine.

Our RE Agent gave us a $75 Home Depot GC and a plaque that says 'Home Sweet Home'

i think gift certificates to a nice restaurant is a nice gift julz or a nice bottle of wine if there drinkers
