I went the first time with my Mom and MOH. But mom lives in FL so she won't be able to shop with me again anytime soon if at all. My MOH can come with me around the holidays and after but I just feel like it's such a bother. I want to ask some of the other BMs but I feel like I'm being a pain....
I figured that it would be fine if I went alone a few times and then when I think I'm ready to make a choice, I'll bring someone along. I'm just not used to asking other people for help, I guess, and I feel a little weird about it. I'm also not used to shopping with others, I'm the type to shop alone.
Did anyone feel this way too? Did any of you go gown shopping alone a few times? Do you recommend against shopping alone?

I don't think you're being a pain my asking your BM's or even your MOH again to go with you. They probably realize how important this is to you and may want to share in the fun.
FYI....the first time I went with my mom, grandmother and MOH. But I went back alone and tried another dress, it wasn't any fun plus I didn't have the opinion of people who know me.

The 1st time i went gown shopping i brought my BM & MOH with me and i felt it was more of a hassle to have them there. The 2nd time i went i shopped alone and it was much better. I was able to take my time trying on stuff and didn't inconvenience anyone. Sure enough i found my dress while i was out alone. I brought my MOH later on to look at the dress but this was after i already purchased it.
IMO- there is nothing wrong with shopping alone.

I went by myself a few times to try on different styles and look for a few I like. Then I took my mom and MOH and got their opinions - got my dress that day. Go by yourself, take your time and see what you find then bring someone back with you for a second opinion. Nothing wrong with shopping alone!

I am planning the wedding at a distance so I too went alone. I must say I preferred it that way--what other people like is not the same as what I like and I want to feel great that day!

Isn't that part of the role of BM? Helping you with this kind of stuff? I don't think you would be thought of as a pain. Just try to work around their schedules and I'm sure it won't be a bother at all.

I went shopping alone and it was great. I was able to concentrate on what I liked and how I felt about the dress, without worrying about other peoples opinions/reactions. I went back with my MOH, mom, and FMIL when I had narrowed it down.

I took someone with me that isnt even in the wedding party but she was available and she was able to give an honest opinion- your bridesmaids are suposed to be there for you- I thinks its okay to go alone you will know that this is THE DRESS whether you are with someone or not-Good Luck
