Has this happened to anyone? Its probably NOT going to be a problem... our minimum is 150, but the room holds a max, I'm told, of 200. We have 270 on our list. Do you think this will be in issue? Whta do they do if you have too many!?

this might be me! my min is 100 and max is 150.
so far I think were inviting about 170.. (this number is without them bring guests)

If it helps, my max was 220 and i invited 250 and ended up only having 165 yes's!

well usually about 20-30% rsvp no. If by any chance it is over 200 guests you will have, they might squeeze it in by putting tables closer together and more at a table

If you have too many over the room's max, the tables will be squished together, there may be a smaller dance floor, and there will be extra people at each table. You may want to consider cutting back your list a little, unless you already know a bunch of people on your list won't be there.

Does your RH have another room it may be able to move you to if you exceed capacity?

I would contact them and ask -- you may just be at tightly packed tables.
I don't want to be the one to make you worry but I would rethink the list a little. Declines average 15-20% but that is not a guarantee. When they say a room holds 200 max it is safer to go under that number by 10. Keep in mind room for you band.

you have 270 on your list but I think the rule is 20% decline the invite? So using that rule you'll have about 216, that's not that much over 200.

IF everyone says yes you may have a problem. You could have crowded tables...BUT that probably won't happen so don't worry.

I don't know what they will do if you are over? Have you asked Chris?? Will they even allow a number over the max? I would definitly ask that before anything else. I think everything will work out fine
