Initially I had a wonderful experience at the one in Spring Valley in Rockland County, but then it went sour--they became uncaring and unwilling to help. So I went to the one in Carle Place and the manager and alterations manager have been absolutely wonderful and turned my tragedy into a wonders!!!!!

i'll be honest... i got my wedding gown and all BM dresses from david's (carle place or westbury, not sure). i LOVE the dresses - they have beautiful things and the prices for the girls' dresses were reasonable, mine was outstanding. however, if you're looking for customer service, it's not your place. they were VERY inattentive when we were trying on dresses... and we had an appt. no one was really helping us. then when i went back to pick up my dress, no one helped me try it on - my mom had to. also, we had paid for the slip and bra but were going to pick them up with the dress; they tried telling us we had already taken them. grrr i also went there to try on BM dresses for my friends wedding a month or so ago, and again, the girl wasn't very helpful - had no answers for any of our questions. as long as you're mentally prepared, it's okay i guess. also, beware... because they are so inattentive... i went for my first dress fitting last week. i took it elsewhere because i didn't want to deal with david's. once i had it on, they asked if david's told me the length of my dress couldn't be altered. with the answer being 'no!!' and 6 weeks away from my wedding, i almost started crying. thank god the seamstress is wonderful and will be able to help me... but david's should have measured me and let me know that the length of the dress couldn't be altered because of the style. if you go there, just make sure you ask a lot of questions... and get the answers!
