Did anyone go to the Filenes basement wedding gown sale

I have never heard of that before. I tried to go on the website so I could get info for next time. But if you did how did you hear about it.

I saw an article about it today in Newsday. I didnt know about it in advance either. Its funny, I was just there Friday too...and didnt see anything in the store about it.

They usually do this in Boston, but this was the first one here- my girlfriend at work got her dress there! Reg. priced at $2500- got it for $250!!!!
She said her friend in Boston told her about it, and she saw the add in the paper.

I think the article said this sale is this weekend in Boston and the following in Chicago.

I saw the article today in the paper. That is just to crazy for me. Fighting for dresses, god only knows how the person before treated it when trying it on, etc..

I went and it was hilarious! It was exactly what everyone said it would be! Forget about modesty because women were undressing in front of the cameras and male employees. Walking around in thongs and topless. But, I was too modest so I had the decency to go behind a rack. LOL My other Girlfriend is also getting married and we both were on Television waving hi! We didn't get lucky with a dress. Me personally, didn't like the selection. They hardly had any strapless dresses available. But, it was so much Fun!! We couldn't stop laughing the whole time. I could kick myself for not taking a camera!

Yeah, it sounded like an experience! I think if I went, I would have probably gotten into a fight with someone. I do not have much tolerance for rude people.

Yep, they were rude! Even a sales lady was rude. I tried on a gown and was walking towards the camera with my friend, and the dress had a train and the woman yells 'Lady, what are you doing?' and I yelled back 'Trying on a dress' Everyone was walking around in the gowns and why she yelled at me...who knows. And as if those gowns were in any good shape, they were probably floor samples from bridal salons. Because they were not clean. But, we had a blast just cracking up at everyone!
