Did anyone go/plan to go on a private picnic in Bora Bora?

Our TA quoted us $1300 from St. Regis. I know Bora Bora is supposed to be expensive but $1300 for a picnic?!?!??!?! That is just robbery.

If you go to the last few pages of the French Polynesia thread on the Honeymoon board, someone posted that there's a private one for $600.

The St. Regis being what it is (brand new and ), I'm not surprised it's that much. I would save the money and do it through one of the highly rated tour companies.

We have a motu picnic that includes fish/shark feeding on Moorea included in our honeymoon package, but I never asked if it was private or not... oops!
