Recently there was a thread about makeup artists and a few people posted that they had free trials? I couldn't find the info but I was hoping someone could tell me if you had a free or low cost trial who it was with. Originally I was going to do my own makeup but really, I don't want to stress about it, yet I don't want to pay too much for trials.

If you go to MAC they do free make-up trials but, you're supposed to buy $50 worth of make-up. I'm still looking for someone and starting to stress out a little

I'm using Maureen Pedala and she does free make up trials, but she also charge a bit more for the day off.

I actually don't mind paying more the day of because if you go on 3 trials you don't like before you find one you do, well that probably makes up the difference and then some :)

You and me both date twin! But the MAC people don't come to you day of, right? I went to Sephora and they had a rep there from laura Mercier who I LOVE because her makeup is designed for photography, she was a photographer, anyway and they made me up and I bought it all and now I need to find someone but I'm not set on the makeup I bought, I'd like to see someone else's ideas.

That's kind of the way I found my hair person. I had a free trial and I didn't really like it (pics in my album) but no harm, no foul it only cost me a $20 tip. Then I asked a friend who did her hair for her wedding and she showed me pics from the wedding and another she was in and I called her and she charged me $45 for the trial, $50 day of but it's still less than I would have paid AND I found a new hair stylist in the process.

My make up artist Priya does an awesome job and offers a free trial. Her prices are sooooo reasonable. FM me for her information.
