I was watching the re run of the season finally of Bridezillas and Corlis has the little girl run in and say the bride was comming ringing a bell.

I really think it is the CUTEST idea, even though I seriosuly doubt FH's litlte cousin would have the nerve to do it

Did anyone do this.. if so how did it work out?

There was an old tradition of having a 'paige boy' come out and yell 'the Bride is coming...the Bride is coming'

Do they come out before the bridal party or just right before the bride starts walking?

Starr Jones did it at her wedding. And I recall a bride mentioning it on here that she was doing this...

Here is a thread about it...

Bell RINGERS! :)

I had 8 of them, they came in before the processional, to announce the beginning of the ceremony.

People LOVED them because it was so different :)

(note in the picture, the first child is holding flowers because 10 seconds before she was to go down the aisle she shattered her bell in a million pieces. She was sooooo upset, but I pulled some flowers from a centerpiece I found in a corner and handed them to her.)

And here's the fixed link from above:

some people might think it's overkill, but IMO, you do what you want to do!

I had 8 because I have 12 neices and nephews, and we had 4 already in the party (1FG, 1RB and 1 Jr BM and 1 Jr GM) and we felt really bad 'choosing' some over the others and some were clearly disappointed and DH and I wanted to include them because they do mean so much to us. We love our neices and nephews, so it was only logical, that for US, we had to include them! They loved it because they felt special and included. I had wanted them all to be in pale pink, but unfortunately, it was difficult to do that with them being scattered all over and then there were healthy issues with my FIL the months leading up to the wedding and the dresses for some of the girls got put on hold. But, even still, I'd have done it all over again the same way because it was too cute and they loved it and our guests thought it was very unique.
