DId anyone have friends/family affected by the earthquake/tsunami's?

Just wondering..I cant stop watching it on the news and Its getting to me what these people are going through...I hope no-one lost anyone close to them.

I didn't know anyone personally but my FH's cousin works with someone who was on vacation somewhere around there (not sure of exactly where) with his fiance and her parents. Well they were on the beach and he was out either snorkling or scuba diving and he was underwater when a huge wave came and basically washed everything and everyone away. When he came above water everything was gone including his FW and her parents. He just had his sister wire him some money because all he had left was the bathing suit he was wearing and his FW and her parents are still missing.

my cousin lives in thailand, we have not heard from him, but I know he was not by any water....but who knows....still wiating to hear SOMETHING

I'm sorry for all the people that lost loved ones. I still cannot believe the amount of people that were lost in this horrific event.

We heard from FH's boss today - hes traveling in India and is okay.

my coworker/friend is on his HM in asia and one of his stops was thailand but i dont know what dates he was there. he isnt due back to work until thurs so i wont know until then

This is very sad
