Did anyone have to pay for the rehearsal at the church?
I had no clue that we had to pay for the actual rehearsal itself. No one told us about this fee before. Is this normal???? He also said that there will be no one to help me out. Like, I would like to have someone give me some advice who works there and help me figure out where the BP can sit or stand, or w/e. I just find it odd, does anyone else?

We had to pay our fee to the church that day but not extra for a rehearsal- and the priest was there to help us through the rehearsal

well, i'm getting married in my home church so it's different I think. There's no charge for rehearsal (or even wedding, actually). There's just kind of a 'gift' or 'love offering' you can choose (and SHOULD choose) to give the Pastors and/or Church. But I'm definitely having people there to help us coordinate. I'm surprised they're not giving you somebody. We need a person to tell us where to stand, sit, etc, etc, etc. I think it's the same deal as Pastor & Church - I just offer the 'coordinator' a small gift (or tip).

We just pay our donation to the church and that covers everything for us...ceremony. music, pre cana, rehearsal....

your initial charge should cover it?? do u have a contract signed with them??? if so it should be in there - if not then i guess it's extra in your case?? also, they should absolutely provide someone to run through the ceremony...if they dont give u a coordinator the priest should atleast give u the rundown?? if not then what the heck are they charging u extra for??? so sorry u're dealing with this..but bet of luck with it!

I read my contract after I got off the phone. I am actually using a chapel, but I wrote Church just to see if anyone else charges lol
My contract says if we go over the hour, they only charge us $50 for every 15 minutes we go over. It says nothing about an initial charge. At first the guy on the phone was like 'It's $150.' then I told him the date and everything and he goes 'it's actually going to be $100'. It just sounded shady.
I am going to call them tomorrow and give them a talking to!

Oh wow, I dont think I'd have to pay for rehearsal... I think its just the donation... I should really ask though....
