Rex Manor, Dyker Beach GC and Siricos...In Staten Island, the Above rooftop and ballroom is amazinggggg! If you want modern and a city skyline, check it out. Added pictures it's gorgeous! Outside view, the next 2 are the indoor/outdoor cocktail room then ballroom.

I wasn't impressed with Above. I went there for a bridal show and to get a sneak peak of it and I really hated the tables in the ballroom. Plus I think it's way overpriced.

I checked out a few Brooklyn venues but not with views of the city. All were in bay ridge/bensonhurst

Did you see any that you really liked?

I loved dyker beach golf club but it's so expensive. I also liked siricos and almost booked bay ridge manor until I saw my venue.

I looked at 9 places in Staten Island and 2 in Brooklyn. The prices are a lot higher in the city, although most had the same prices for a Saturday and Sunday.

What places did you look at in Staten Island? Just curious.

Did anyone look at NYC Venues?

Don't get me wrong, I am totally thrilled with WM. Would have loved an NYC venue being from the boros but between researching prices on line to get an estimate and calling-- places are too expensive. Some restaurants offer a portion of or entire restaurant for weddings, but if you are planning having over 75 people it is a tight fit.

My dream was Water's Edge in LIC but too pricey pp for my budget.

The company I work for owns a beer hall downtown and they are booking a ton of weddings there. If you were interested check out Houston Hall. I can send you quotes if you wanted.

I looked this place up out of curiosity and it is so cute. Told FH I want to go there before the summer is over.

Awesome! I hope you enjoy it!! Let me know how you like it

I went to waters edge in LIC. Their selling point is the view of the skyline. If you want me to send you the quote they gave me for September and October of 2016 II'll send it over.

I would love you quote, thank you! I'm looking for October/November in 2016 so that would be perfect

Sending this to you now!

Re: Did anyone look at NYC Venues?

I highly recommend looking at Battery Gardens. It may not have a view of NYC but a gorgeous view of Statue of Liberty and NJ.

My first wedding was at Water's Edge in LIC. We had a TON of issues on the day of, though things may have changed over the last 5 years.

My FH and I are VERY interested in Houston Hall so glad to hear others are thinking about it!

Check out 360 and Tribeca Rooftop in Manhattan, or Liberty Warehouse in Red Hook.

Did anyone look at NYC Venues?

Not sure about price but a friend of mine was just at a wedding at Waterside in North Bergen, NJ and had a gorgeous view of the skyline as the backdrop from her outdoor ceremony.
