of their apartment to go back and live with their parents? I cannot believe I am considering this! But weddings are sooo expensive and I refuse to get into debt over one day. Would that be horrible to move back for a little while??

I think a little sacrifice now, will be worth it in the end... We chose not to get an apartment together so we can save $$, so we both chose to stay home at live with our parents...

Yes, we both did it and it's been FINE. Actually, I really love the fact that I'm going to be living with my parent's right up to the big day. We've really bonded and enjoyed being together again (I'm an only child, so it's just the 3 of us.)
We're going to start looking for our apt. this fall, and FH is going to move back in, I'll be at home until the big day, more or less.
We've been able to save so much $$ for our honeymoon, wedding, and future. I say go for it. It will go by so fast.

We have two little ones so we haven't lived w/ either side of parents for going on four years. So we already know what it feels like to have to save money, but going back to home w/ my little ones would NEVER work! so we're just not going crazy over spending sooo much money for this wedding. Going crazy, and into debt for one day is not worth it, our big bulk of savings is going to our house for fall of 07

we both still live with our parents (saving $) and my dad is building us an apartment on the top floor of his house so we can live there after the wedding (I don't have to leave the fire department!!) He's so nice! (we have been told we are getting the house once he retires anyway)

I did-- well not intentionally. Last September (gosh its almost a year now) my brother sold his house that I was renting an apartment from. So I had to move home. I figured at that time it would be good b/c I was hoping to get engaged..
Moving home while i've had to deal with my parents that don't like me staying at my FH on weekends, as well as a little sister that steals all my stuff, has been trying, but at the same time I have been able to save almost half my paycheck which I will be using for the wedding!.
FH also lives at home, he is rent free but has a large basement apartment!
