Did Anyone Not Give Their Parents A Gift? POLL

Is it a custom to give your parents a gift on your wedding day? I didn't get one but after receiving an extremely generous gift from my parents in law I feel like we should get them something! They practically paid for half the wedding with a single check! :(

I feel so guilty that I didn't think about getting them anything!!!

I wouldn't say it's custom... An appreciation gift is always nice though, I remember reading about LIW girls who've given their FILs a gift cert to dinner or something like that..... It's up to you.... We prob will...

Well I paid for hair and makeup for my MIL and the tux rental for my FIL so I think that's sufficient? :D

My parents, I'll plan something else...

We did parent gifts, but didn't go crazy with the gifts... we paid for the wedding 99% ourselves (they helped in certain areas, which we certainly appreciate!), so we were watching our budget. We spent maybe $150 on each mother (didn't have any father's gifts to buy )

I would say, if you can get them a little something small, just to show your gratitude, it would be nice, but most parents would probably be happy with a really touching card written by you & FH.

we gave mil a picture frame.

my parents did not want a gift, they said dont you dare.

so i gave them a nice thank u card which made them cry and that was gift enough.

i think seeing me happy was gift enough for them!
