Did anyone see all the helicopters flying overhead this morning?
I am not sure what kind, they were NOT the traffic ones, one was alone quickly followed by 2 together. They were dark possibly black. It was a little freaky?

They were having some airshows in the city this morning...that maybe they were landing at Republic or something.

The city is also on high terror alert due to some CIA information. Might be because of that.
Read any local news site to find out more information.

I saw them they were Blackhawks. There here to protect during fleet week, and the big show down at Jones Beach. I'm sure the terror alert has something to do with it also.

Strange, I was just outside my office (in East Meadow) and saw two helicopters flying over (not the same color and closely following one another).

I thought that's what they were but I wasn't sure. They were heading out east. Isn't there an air base out there?

I think McCarthur houses some Army choppers as well. I used to see them flying in formation quite often when I lived in Lake Grove and that was before we were on any terror alerts.

There were Navy fighter jets flying into Republic Airport this afternoon.... I work in a school a few blocks away and they were very low... they were scaring all the kids in the playground they were so close and so loud!

There's an airshow...I just talked to a friend who works at Republic The Blue Angels flew right over our house before
