Re: Did anyone see the DC voting outcome?

DC is very Democratic. I was surprised too, until I was told how partisan it is.

Re: Did anyone see the DC voting outcome?

I am in DC and when i went to vote, I had Kerry volunteers screaming in my face, telling me to vote Kerry and they were trying to shove papers at me...I politely said I was voting for Bush and one screamed...'wow you look young and intelligent but obviously you're young and stupid'. I'm sure there were Bush volunteers saying similar things to Kerry voters but i couldn't believe how nasty people could be..the last time i checked, I had the right to vote how i wanted!!

DC was CRAZY yesterday with voters lining up...the average wait time was about 2 hours!!

Re: Did anyone see the DC voting outcome?

With the exception of a couple of very nice areas... DC is like the armpit of america.

You will never see Republican electors elected there... unless its a total landslide vote with the Republican winning just about every other state like Reagan did in 1984.

Perfect case and point... isn't this the city that just re-elected Marian Barry as their Mayor?

I could be wrong, but I would assume that Marymoon's point is that minorities tend to vote Democratic. The metropolitan DC area is made up mostly of minorities.

Exactly.

DC also happens to be full of poor people..poor black people, who tend to vote democratic.
