Re: did anyone use linen suits for the guys?
my sister had a beach wedding and wanted to do linen suites, but her now husband said no and insisted on a tux- I think they make men feel like they are James Bond or something. But I think linen suites for a beach would look awesome!!

Bonaventure Tuxedo in Garden City has them and you can rent them there.

There is a line of rental's but FH chose to buy a suit so we're not using them.

btw- we had a hard time actually finding the line on Long Island....most places didn't carry them in stock. So my advice is make sure you inquire about this before showing up at the store.

Jim's Formal Wear rents suits
(not linen)
Edit: oops! I took too long to write this and didn't see the above post on Jim's Formal Wear..

This is true for most stores, yes. You should definitely call ahead of time. If you call some stores ahead of time, I'm sure they can arrange for you to see it in the store!

The suit in my album is the one we are using, it's not linen but it is still light. We originally wanted linen but didn't want the wrinkles in our pictures!! We got ours from Mr. Tuxedo in Patchogue right across from Paradise Bridal.
