did anyone use or is using trumpeters or bagpipes

at their wedding I'm thinking of using one or both at my reception and I was wondering how much they run.

We're probably going to have a bagpiper, but he's a friend of FH.

Do a search, I want to say about 300-500. or so, but I'm not sure.

I'm having trumpeters at church and at the reception. Fan fare brass charges $1175

I'm having bagpipers as a surprise for FH! It's about $125 per piper. It's best if you have at least 3 pipers and a drummer!!!

Dumb question, but are the bagpipers for outside the church or for the reception?

you can have the bag pipers either way inside or outside.

My brother only had one bagpiper at his wedding and it was nice. Depends on how large of an area you are talking about though. He got married outside at the Riviera.

I used Kevin Connelly, he is a vendor on here. He was very reasonable. FM for details.

I used trumpeters and loved them...but since my musical director from the church found them, I'm not 100% sure what they would 'normally' cost.

If you are looking for a less expensive option, you might want to call some of the local college music departments and see if they have anyone willing to help you out.
