Did anyone's guest list keep on growing and growing...
And growwwwwwwwwwing! I really thought i could get away with having a small wedding...but it ends up, I have a family (immediate) of 43 and his is at 26ish and then we have like 40-50 friends that we hang with on a regular basis...obvi including SOs.
HOW IS THIS EVEN POSSIBLE?! I feel like I don't have that many friends! My final invite tally is now in the 130s and thats with being 'thrifty!'

Be happy with that! Our guest list is wayyy more outrageous. Joey's mom has 180 people on her guest (not inviting unimportant people either... Italian's have huge families), Joey and I have like 93 between the two of us, and my parents are in the 80's. We have wayyy to many people to invite and I am still nervous because I did not factor enough people from work into that list. Our expected number of guests is around 250... our invites are over 300. I didn't even realize I knew that many people.

Yeah my family is aunts/uncles/1st cousins only...so I can't even believe our list is as high as it is. We were trying to have a 60-80 person wedding, we're DOUBLE!!!!!!

I agree mine does too. and so does the price. But Im happy because it seemed at first that most of the guest were going to be from my side. I kinda felt bad and now the list is growingfor my FH's side so I feel better.

Mine is shrinking at the moment. LOL. I am tempted to cut everyone that didnt have the courtesy to RSVP to the engagement party my parents are throwing for us this weekend. It's all FH's family...and I am happy to cut them right off the list. I'm slightly joking...I'm not a complete bridezilla.
All that being said...our list was way more than I ever thought it would be/ It's at 265 right now...and all I really want is 200 guests!

Wow, and here i was thinking that my just shy of 200 was bad...and that's with having about 100 just for my side of the fam! Luckily, FH's fam is much smaller

Yep. We originally wanted a small wedding of 100, but it didn't work out that way. My guest list has 272 ppl on it currently.

wow! well at least you know you'll make your guarantee! I encouraged FH to let his parents invite whoever b/c that is what i'm most afraid of, not making my guarantee! Since they say 20% will say no usually.

My A & B List total is 129 at the moment.
But when I elminate co-workers and such it brings it down a lot. So I may leave them out except for my 2 managers.

Oh yeah. Hehe. We had to change our room because the list got so out of control. Now our guarantee is 190. I'm hoping we make our guarantee.

Ours is around 160 with families, friends, a few select coworkers, and my dad's friends (since they're paying and he's been invited to all of his friends' kids' weddings). Except now every so often, FH has a few MORE people he wants to add so that might change slightly. Luckily, our 'likely' list is more like 130.
FH's GRANDFATHER had a list of 50 extra people that hewas insisting on having until we told him absolutely not because FH had never even met most of them and weren't even invited to FSIL's wedding.

If you have picked your hall already, get a max on your room so you don't go way over. Separate your list into A's and B's.

I just had a heart attack.
My mom called me and told me my grandmother had people she wants to invite. I thought my heart was going to just burst before she opened her mouth....
