DID ANYONES RH.....

not let them make a payment through credit card??

I know the last payment is usually always bank check not credit card

but we have to give 50% of our min now..and they said we can't use a card

is this normal??
I'm just trying to earn some points, thats why I would rather use a card...i know for a fact that some of my other friends have

what's been your experience?

My RH said the same thing to me..It makes things a little harder but I guess I'll just use my credit for some other things lolz

They told us that we can't make our final payment using a credit card but that it's entirely up to us how much we pay before the final payment so we are basically paying for our minimum on our last payment before the last, any additional people will be on our final payment.

Yes! I am getting married in NJ and all the halls we visited including the one we booked only take credit card for the initial deposit. The rest must be paid by check and then the final payment a cashiers check. We were shocked when we first started looking at halls. So we tried to find vendors like florist and photographer that take credit card.

Just thought I'd add that my BM suggested taking out a cash advance on the credit card if you really have to...def not the best idea..but if you have to, its an idea...

my RH would only take CC for the first deposit, after that they accept personal checks, the final payment has to be in cash or bank check.

ok..at least its not just mine

two of my friends were telling me how they were able to put payment on CC and then were able use points for miles....would be nice to get some plane tix out of the deal lol

My RH doesn't take credit period! Was not expecting that when we went there to sign. Thank god my mom had her checkbook and fronted it for us.

They told us only the initial payment which i think is such BS. But let me tell you if it came down to you not being able to pay them and them taking the credit card they would take the card.

We have made all payments and the final can be made with cc only if its made 2 weeks before the event.

We were only allowed to use a credit card for the down payment the rest of our payments were made by check. We were told at the time of making the down payment that we could ONLY use a credit card for that payment.
