Did everyone do a bridesmaids luncheon?

Just curious. I don't think I'm going to. I was wondering if this is necessary?

Definitely not necessary!!
I didn't have one. I had 6 bms with all different schedules and lives. I couldn't even get them all together to order the dresses.. I had to make I don't know how many different trips to get it done.. Most of them couldn't even make it to my bachelor/ette party!!!
I wasn't going to waste my time or energy trying to get them all together!!

Thanks Maxine. That is exactly how I feel. I may just treat my sister to something since she basically is doing everything (planning and paying for my shower, bachelorette party, etc).

On another note, I order my cake boxes from papermart and some ribbon. Thanks again for the tip

No problem!!! I was really happy with the quality of all the stuff I ordered from papermart.

I wouldn't count this as a bm luncheon but when we went to pick up the bridesmaid dresses ( 4 out of 6 took off of work to go) I treated them to lunch b/c we were all starving!! But it wasnt a big deal and we were rushing b/c we all had a million things to do.. some people needed to go gets shoes, some had to go back to work, my sister needed to get home to her son etc. and it wasn't planned it was a spur of the moment thing

Then me my, sister (moh), and niece ( bm) all got our nails done together for the wedding and the next day I went with another bm and we got our pedicures together. AND the next day I kept another bm company while she got her nails and pedicure done!!!
I did the best I could under the circumstances!!!
None of them were mad that I didnt have a lunch for them... I dont think any of them had ever even heard of it before to expect it!

I would have like to but would have been too much of a headache since I had mostly kids in BP.

We had a BM dinner. After we ordered the girls dresses we went out and grabbed a bite along with some cocktails.
Does this count??

i tried but its a busy time of year for everyone and they couldnt free up another day for me :(

I won't have one. One of my BM's is out of state, another will be in Europe for a month this summer...so can imagine that it's going to be pretty difficult to get them all together before September.

Im having a Brunch for my girls...to give them gifts. The only reason that Im doing this though is because we are not having a RD

I treated them to lunch when we spent the day shopping for their dresses. It wasn't a formal bridesmaid luncheon though. It sounds nice in theory, but I agree. Most people are way too busy.

Nope, not doing one...we had two engagement parties, I had two showers and a bachelorette, enough pre-wedding parties, plus two won't be in town until two days before wedding and we have lots planned...

I would love to do this, but my MOH lives in Chicago and it would be weird without her. And I really don't have the $$$ for one anyway. I just added up their gifts and they come out to more than what they paid for their BM dresses!! No Brunch for them!! And quite frankly, they have not done a darned thing except for my MOH.
