Did everyone have a shower?

Did everyone have a shower?

I'm wondering if we're all 'supposed' to have a shower or can we just not have it. I doubt my cousin - who is my MOH, or anyone in my family knows there's supposed to be one.

well i didn't have one yet but i know its coming up soon.

If they don't know then ask them to see if they know. I went over some things with my mom bc i know some traditions she wouldn't know about

I'm sure they know...if not hint and see if they know. A shower is nice to have even if it's small and intimate.

if they don't know.. i'd def start dropping some hints.. like casually say 'oh my friends bridal showers are all coming up soon... it's soon exciting' or little things to make sure they know the deal!!

Who do you invite? Haha, it looks like my family isn't the only one clueless on it. We've never had a shower before - even when my older cousins got married.

You invite most of the females from sides of the family and close friends. Not every female from that is invited to the wedding needs to be invited to the shower.

Just out of curiousity, do people get upset about this? They're going to have to give a gift for the shower and then one more for the wedding?

you invite your closest female friends and family...for me for example i invited fh's aunts, cousins, grandmother, his closest family friends. My side same thing, its family friends and family. Also invited some of the wives/gf's/fiancee's of close male guests attending our wedding. So in total the guestlist is 70 but many people have less

I don't think I'm having one. They might do something for me at work. But I don't live near where I'm getting married and my MOH lives 3,000 miles away. I don't know. They might have a just a party a few nights before the wedding in lieu of a shower.
I'm not holding my breath.

my mom and bp are throwing mine and i found out it is April 6th, they had to tell me because of my work schedule.

We can share one (or I'll plan yours and you can plan mines ) - my two bridesmaids live in CA and Italy right now, which means all of this falls on my cousin/MOH, who doesn't care about this... Why did I listen to my mom in choosing family for MOH?
