Did I goof?

My boss just caught me again on LIW, so I started talking about the wedding with her.

She is the kind of person you feel bad for so naturally you are nice to her, but then she stabs you in the back. Plus she isn't married, and she is older than me - I get the feeling that she may not want to discuss someone else's wedding. Usually I try not to bring it up at all, but I just started talking when she caught me - and I slipped and mentioned that I had a problem with the post office sending the invites.


I am not inviting anyone from work because I work with complete scum bags that have no integrity. She is the best of the worst I guess you could say - so I talk to her the most.
I tried to avoid telling her exactly when I'm getting married, or that the invites were out - but today I slipped up.

Is that bad to let someone who may think they are getting invited know that your invites when out already?

It's tough to not talk about your wedding...it's a HUGE part of your life.

However, there are those out there that just don't want to hear about other's weddings for a multitude of reasons.

I don't think what you've done is bad and intentional....I'd just refrain from discussing it anymore.

I don't bring it up at work, unless someone asks, even then, I'm very vague or respond with 'we haven't decided yet.'

Your business is yours. No need for anyone to rain down on your parade.

I talked about my wedding ALL THE TIME at my old job. I'm sure I must have annoyed many people. But I also told everyone upfront that they wouldn't be invited. I worked there for years and it wasn't a snub, I just couldn't invite everyone and I couldn't pick and choose, so I didn't invite anyone.
I did bring them all favors and shared my pics.

I might be mean but I talk about my wedding to co-workers even though they would like to be invited but they aren't. To bad! Money doesn't grow on trees!

All the girls I work with know they arent invited to mine-though its far away-one girl is my close friend and she is a BM-when we talk about it at work, any girls who are around always have to chime in and say-i want to be invited to your wedding or I want to be a bridesmaid.....

Who is going to work for us if they are invited?

I think you are ok though-no big deal...I would just refrain from talking about it
