I picked up my invites today, and realized that I stupidly assumed that inner and outer envelopes would both come with my invitations. My lined envelopes have my return address printed on them, so I don't even think I could add an inner envelope. Is having only an outer envelope a big deal?
My aunt said that the only confusion would be exactly who was invited to the wedding (if any families had children -- we are only inviting kids in the BP). Could I fix this, by filling out the names on the response card before I send them?
HELP!!!

Re: did I 'goof' with my invites?
Do you still have time to order the inner envelopes? I think your idea works fine though! We didn't do inner envelopes, I preferred not to have them. We filled out the RSVP card accordingly if the whole family wasnt invited.

Re: did I 'goof' with my invites?
Your aunt is right, the inner is useful for clarifying who's invited (especially kids). But you can do so on the outer if need be:
Mr. and Mrs. Evan Thomas Clair and Joseph
or
Mr. and Mrs. Evan Thomas and Family
Don't stress...if your outer came lined, it's possible there wasn't an inner available. Many new invites don't have both. I don't think you should fill out the names on the response card though...they need to respond with who's coming.

I wouldn't worry at all. My invites didn't come with an inner envelope either. The outer envelope is beautifully lined. I am glad that I don't have to worry about addressing inner envelopes. I am putting everything on the outer.

I wonder if you could buy envelopes from like office max that would fit your invite.
