did I handle this OK?

FH has a lot of cousins. A few of them either he/I/both of us are very close with...so we asked them to be in the BP.

As you girls all understand, we can't have EVERYONE in the BP.

Anyway, one of his cousins (10 yr old boy) was over today (not in BP), and he asked if he could be a junior groomsmen. At first we kind of changed the topic because he kinda allowed us to...but then he kept bringing it up...so I said this:

(There's four male cousins who are all pre-teens and teens)

'Well, there's a lot of you guys all around the same age. (I named them). We didn't want to hurt any of your feelings. You're all really special to us, but we didn't want to pick one and not the other.'

He seemed to understand. Did I handle this right?

I too have alot of cousins, but they couldn't all be in the BP. Maybe there's a special job he can do on the wedding day?

My 10 year boy cousin walked my grandma down the aisle and also helped hand out bubbles at the church. That might help the situation more!

We asked if he wanted to hand out bubbles and programs. His response was 'Nah, I want to be the junior groomsman.'
