My invitations were pocketfolds, therefore I did not have an inner envelope. The guests that are married or are seriously dating were addressed as either Mr. and Mrs. so and so and/or Mr. so so and Ms. so so...however, a few guests are single and I only put their name on the envelope...I did not indicate 'and Guest'...what if they think that I am ONLY inviting them???? I mean its only a handful of them and I speak to them all on regular basis but still is it rude what I did????? I kind of assumed that they'll know that I obviously do not expect them to come alone...
Why am I thinking about this NOW AFTER everything is done!?

I think you should clarify to your single friends that they are invited with a guest. Since you talk to them on a regular basis it should be easy to explain what happened and I am sure they will understand. Don't worry it happens to all of us... your bound to think of some things after the fact!

All that matters is that they know they can bring a guest, whether you tell them or it says it on the invite. They'll understand.

Sylvia... Dont worry sweetie.. Just make sure you tell your friends that they can bring a guest if they want. My guestlist was out of control, so for all of my single friends, I didn't write 'and guest' on their invitations. I simply just told them to feel free to bring someone if they wanted to. They understood. And to be honest.. no one got offended or anything. I'm sure your friends will understand if you tell them by word of mouth. Good luck sweetie!.
