I'm so glad you said that. I thought maybe because I don't post much I was totally off base. I thought she was kind of....an acquired taste....

I'd hate to read what people would say about me behind my back! Oh wait, I have...

But seriously, let's play nice. I don't think she ever meant harm or was malicious is anything she said. I felt her personality type was 'the champion', she was just passionate about her causes, and can't really fault someone on that. As someone who is a bit of an 'acquired taste' themselves, sometimes it's just very difficult to mean what you type and type what you mean, you know?

I just wouldn't start trash talking someone who isn't capable to defend themselves, or at least take a few jabs back . We're all a lot classier than that.

You have never been as caustic as she was and for the record, I do think honesty is a good thing...no fault in that. She was called out for being caustic and she owned it so I don't think it's trash talking. She rubbed a lot of people the wrong way and was well aware of it. Plenty of people read what they type before they post it to make sure it's what they meant to say.

She personally offended me, by judging how I and others handled our wedding registries - FH's not being involved, or not coming to every store, etc. She said that if we couldn't do this together, not a good sign of a successful marriage.

I apologize if I came off as trash talking, did not mean to at all. But I was very very upset about a month ago when that happened, as were a number of other brides.

I missed the drama again!!!!! Who was the BOTW? What happened?

Gail - juhgail - was BOTW this week.

I stepped away from my computer for about 20 minutes around lunchtime today so I missed it exactly, but here's my hearsay understanding:

Apparently she posted on BHB a thread about how she'd been saving every negative review ever posted (well, in her 2 or so months on this board) and she basically tried to call out the website about their business policy. This lead to a rumor of vendor threats and maybe a lawsuit.

Then the thread was gone and she was deleted.

IMO it was a stupid thing for her to do and not necessary at all. From day 1 here, she was extremely combative and constantly tried to push her values on everyone else. Instead of being supportive, she started a lot of her posts with negativity under the guise of 'taking the other view.'

I was very surprised someone chose her as BOTW because I thought she was the opposite of helpful and supportive. But this is just me speaking from the heart about it, and only my feelings. We are each entitled to our own.

I posted yesterday afternoon that this is a business and being on this wonderful website is a privilege that the majority of us take full advantage of and embrace. I have come to really appreciate and enjoy everyone's company and feedback here, and believe you have all made my wedding planning experience so much more personal than I ever thought it could be, simply by letting me share so much!

I'm not trying to 'attack' Gail in her absence, but do agree with and understand LIW's decision to terminate her privilege to post here based on what I understand happened.

HTH. I'm really not trying to cause any additional drama by writing all this. We all have weddings to plan here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! With the holiday weekend upon us, I say we get back to planning and enjoying ourselves!

No we decided yesterday to open it up to all girls who haven't been BOTW and the 09ers will vote today on the replacement BOTW, who will serve until a week from Sunday.
