Did I really screw up my replies?

My wedding date is Sept 10th and my RSVP date is August 20. I dont know who told me to use that date but now I am seeing people who say AT LEAST a month f not 6 weeks. However, I am only inviting 100 and I see that many of you do not get the invitations in the first couple of weeks that you request anyway so should I reorder them with a date like August 1st?

You'll be fine. You just may have to make some calls to no responders earlier!!

I wouldn't worry about it. . . My wedding is June 24th. . . I'm sending out my invites today and having the RSVP date as June 1st. My FH and I are just not the drawn out kind of people . . . and I think people tend to procrastinate until close to that date anyway. . . so why give them more time to procrastinate?? But then I could be wrong. . . and end up crying all day on June 2nd . . .

No problem. . . I find myself getting all frazzled sometimes when I see what other people are doing. . . the extremes they are going to. . . and how serious they are taking all the planning, etc. and then look at me who hasn't got a clue about favors yet. . . or gifts for bridal party. . . or seating chart . . . or . . .good lord, the list could go on and on. . . I'm just not big on being all consumed by this experience. . . I'm very into it. . . and enjoying it (most times ) but, I'm just not that kind of person. . . sometimes wish I was but alas, I'm not. I'm the kind that sits back with the major things all finally done. . . and banks on everything will fall into place. . .and you know what? So far (knock on wood) it has. . . Just remember, you are your own person who has your own friends that are completely different from everyone else on this website. . .your expectations and your guests expectations are uniquely yours. . . so don't live by the standards set by others. . . just be guided by them and learn from them. Nothing is set in stone and there are no wedding police who will come arrest you for having a late RSVP date. . . or a small bouquet. . . or minimal centerpieces, etc. Just enjoy the experience and do what makes you happy. . . it's your day. . .so it should be planned and executed to suit you. . . it's worked for us so far

I think as long as you didn't put the RSVP date AFTER your wedding day, you're fine!

You didn't 'screw up'. Most people unfortunately don't pay attention to the RSVP date anyway, so don't waste your $$ making that date earlier.

Hi Date Twin, I also have an RSVP date of June 1st...it's about 3.5 weeks before hand.

My hall only needs the count 1 week before, so I'm not worried.

You will be fine. Don't worry about it. As long as you didn't make it 2 weeks. plenty of time.
