So has anyone every experienced this......................today I got a phone call from a place called 21st century bridal something (cant remember the full name) however they told me that I won 3 gifts and all I needed to do was show up in Hauppauge and collect my winnings with my FH. I asked if there were any strings attached and she said no!!! Please let me know if this is fake?? She said I won 3 nights and 2 days in any of their 20 locations, $1000 grocery card and 20-40% off of their supplies............
i ladies. I noticed another LIW bride almost fell for this too, so I decided to warn you.
The LIW bride and I received a call from 21st Century Today's Bride saying that we had won a 5 night trip, a gift certificate and 40% off their products.
All we had to do was attend a wedding showcase.
Well we are both glad we didn't go...
Read this report from Consumer Affairs and how this company ruined the lives of these people.
Also I googled them and NOTHING good comes up. Their account has been suspended everywhere.....
I am going to look or more links on Google.

Unfortunately, there are a bunch of these places that prey on us and some fall for these 'you've won a getaway, all you have to do is attend a showcase' scams. Watch out! Most things that sound too good to be true, usually are..

Google the term '21st century today's bride scam' - I just did and found loads of stuff from other message boards, as well as LIW.
As the old saying goes 'if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is'

Wow I'm so happy I read this! I got the same phone call after going to a bridal show! THey said they got my name from some card I filled out and all I had to do was come in and collect my prize! When I told the woman I wouldnt be in town she said she would ' Hold' the prize for me. When I called back 2 weeks later supposedly the woman was really busy and couldnt talk to me. Some other woman got on the phone and began asking me all these other questions, realy weird. No one ever called me back and honestly I'm glad!

This happened to us too, with a similar company. Of course we were told no obligations, until I said I couldn't stay for the 1hr information session, I would just pick up my prize... well then it was I couldn't have my prize unles I stayed and looked at their timeshare! Nothing comes without a price i guess:)

This happened to me right after I went to the Bridal showcase at the Millerage Inn. Same thing, they said I filled out the card and won 3 prizes. I never claimed my prize, the woman said I would have to test products for 1 1/2 hours to claim prize. So glad i never went. I thought it sounded too good to be true!

ist a scam a few months ago I got a call from them and when I spoke to them I had to go to some party they were having and spend all this money then they would give me a voucher for a 3 day vaccation but I had to spend almost as much as the vaccation would cost.

I can't remember the name of the company...but I think it was 21st century and i got the call that I won and went to a place where they showed off all their cookware but we didnt have to buy it...i got the voucher for a 3 nitght and a grocery coupon but i never booked anything....are the vouchers and coupons fake?

i got a call like that a few months back and we almost went cuz we were gauranteed to win a car or a vacation or a big screen TV... but then i googled it and the phone # on caller ID and found out it was a scam! I think you do really get stuff,, but the one i got was a travel agency so we woulda had a 'free trip' somewhere that with taxes and all stuff (according to the reviews) would have cost us more then the trip in the first place... sorry if that sounds confusing!
