The wind has picked up in DC, too. I'm sure the storm will be down here in a couple hours. Hopefully it will bring some cooler temps- I'm tired of this over 100 degree heat!

Wasn't just Farmingdale... It was horrible last night!! Wind lightening thunder, we lost power twice.

Bayport was a mess. Trees were down everywhere.
I am pretty sure South Bayport was closed down.. (not positive) but all the train track gaurds were down. i know by the beach over there, there was terrible wind, blowing the sand all through the streets. It is really bad for a while

I was outside last night at the Bon Jovi concert and it was raining on us. It felt nice after being so hot.

One of the women at work can't come in today because she lives on a dead-end block and there is a tree and power lines blocking them all from getting off the street!

It was so strange! It was so calm and out of nowhere it was like a tornado! We have huge huge branches down in our yard. I think the lightning was the sickest though! We lost power for 3+ hours and I couldnt even sleep because it was lmost like we had the lights on!

yeah we were about to go to bed last night and i looked at FH and he looked at me-- we were like another thunderstorm!!! and then we just sat in our bed and looked out the window and watched all the wind and lightning! it was sick!!!!
