Did oatmeal cereal, do we have to do barley, should we?

We skipped rice cereal with Matthew because of his constipation. He has been having oatmeal cereal for 2 months now. Are we supposed to go to barley now? Mix and match? Just stay with oatmeal? Is it a preference? Thanks.

we tried barley but my PED told me we didnt have to and he never gave his kids barley, I tried it and she loves it

I would try barley, angela likes it too. Also, then you can do mixed grain, because rice will be the only one you haven't tried. If you haven't done barley or rice, and you do mixed grain - if there was a problem you wouldn't know if it was the rice or the barley. Probably he's getting tired of oatmeal too :)

We tried rice and has similiar problems. The barley and oatmeal are just fine for her. We do feed her both.

We did rice for a couple of days and then Jack got all backed up. So I started giving him barley and he loves it! After this I'm going to start in with veggies.
