have any meaning? Was it an anniversay, birthday, special day?

It was wierd for me....he just did it on any normal day! I dont know why he did it that day, he just did it! I am sure most had it on a special day,no?

just a regular day............ no special meaning to that date... but NOW ITS A SPECIAL DATE hehe

It was our first full night on vacation in Hawaii. No special meaning to the date. But he said he was back and fourth about when in the vacation he should do it, but decided to do it early so we had the whole time to celebrate.

we were on vacation. the hot air balloon was something we planned together. he saw a good opportunity.

It was one month before my birthday and the last night of summer vacation. He had the ring for a while and decided that was the right time.

It was this past Christmas 2007. Christmas time always has brought us some hard times and he said he wanted Christmas to finally have a happy memory!!! It was 2am after arriving home from a day of work and Christmas eve Mass and family dinner. I thought I was tired BUT after the proposal we were up the rest of the night till sunrise laughing, crying, and celebrating with champagne!!!

He did it the day he got the ring. He couldnt wait. It was 2 yrs and 5 months to the day when we first stareted going out but, it wasnt for that reason.

after all this...i really feel like im a little lucky it was just another day....because now its not! Thanks guys I think either way is just great, in the end your enagaged and thats what matters!

i always told him i didnt want it on a special day b/c i wanted the engagement itself to make it special.....so it was labor day weekend the day after his birthday, but only b/c the ring was ready a week early! he couldnt stand the idea of having the ring in the house and not giving it to me!

Chris had the ring for two weeks and told me he would hide it in different places all the time to see if I would find it and I never did. When I asked what he would do if I did find it he just laughed and said 'Well I would have just asked you then.' LOL

FH had the ring in our apt for months... i knew it was there... but i didn't really look for it.... i was tempted to but I didn't. Then we were having a Christmas tree triming party on Dec. 15th. I had all my friend over and my parents also. A couple of friends were leaving and he didn't want them to go. He said he needed a picture or something. He got everyone in the dinning room and said something like 'Thank you all for coming and nowI have something important to say... ' and then I can't remember anything else. I just remember someone shouting 'What did she say' So I started saying yes yes yes yes.... I was very shocked... i didn't think he would actually shock me.

Our first date we went to the movies to see Shrek. And, it just so happen when he proposed Shrek 2 opened the same day. But, he didn't pick the date because of that.

FH and I got engaged the same day his dad proposed to his mom, Christmas Eve. It was sooo sweet. I'm really close with my FMIL so I was honored. They also got married at Larkfield Manor 27 years ago. It's kinda crazy!
