Did this happen to anyone...

We had someone RSVP 'no' to my shower, but then she came anyway. It wasn't a big deal really...but I mean, my mom didn't have an escort card for her, so that was kinda weird.

Did anyone else have this happen at the wedding? How was it handled? With 80 people at the shower, it was under control...but with 300 people at the wedding

It happened at the wedding...someone brought a +1 when they had RSVP'd for only themselves.

I didn't get involved. I didn't even realize it had happened until well into the reception. If they were rude enough to have done so, then they got to play musical chairs on their own.

Our photographer had one more person than they had told us they would, not sure how that was handled. I kind of figured they were on their own. We had another woman (DH's co-worker) who said she was bringing a date and then didn't . . . so they had an empty seat at their table - not to worry though, because some other guy at the table ordered the extra dinner. At least it wasn't a complete waste.

that kinda happened at my eparty. we put them at a table that only had 5... so it was fine, but they were mad they weren't on the seating chart. we lied and said staples messed up.

thinking back, i wish i woulda said 'thats because you threw a shiit fit and said you weren't coming!'...

honestly though, i think on the day of, if that happens.. you have so many other people who can handle that for you. don't worry about it.
