I was reading about how you get an informational packet and the diamond card stuff when you sign up but I never got that?

I guess I'm one of the lucky ones.. I got my diamond card months ago (I joined in Sept.)

Me too. Haven't used it for anything yet though.

There are certain vendors who give discounts if you have the card. I haven't found a use for yet.

i have one... but i dont think it has done much for me... there are some vendors that offer additional offers if you have one... but none of the vendors that I am using are on the list.

I got my diamond card at an expo that was held at Carlye on the Green. I met Ron and Liz and he actually gave me the card there.
Has it helped?? SO far not much but i have spoke to some vendors that are on LIW and just for mentioning them, they help out a bit.

I got one, but I never had the chance to open it.

It came the same day that my mother bought a shredder...she thought it was junk mail and SHREDDED IT!!! She still claims that it was the best envelope to shred b/c it was nice and thick.

hello 06'ers. the diamond card is an urban legend, lol. if you see a vendor accepts it just mention it. i think the newbie packet may be an urban legend, too.

I dont think I got a packet. i think I signed up before the packet existed or something. I hounded Ron forever and he finally sent me a diamond card a month ago. Just ask him. Maybe he meant you would only AUTOMATICALLY get it if you singed up through the site, rather than at a bridal show, but I'm sure he won't deny you your packet. Just FM Ron and I'm sure he'll send it to you. the Diamond Card is just a card the lost of vendors who give discounts is listed on the site. I'm sure they'll give you the discount w/o the physical card.

What else is in the packet besides the phantom 'diamond card' I am so curious now! Did some of you really get stuff you mentioned LIW to one of the vendors on here? I am going to meet with Long Island Sound and I see their little ad on the right hand side right now!

I did get some welcome to the site postcard like a week ago....and i signed up in November... but it was just a postcard no packet nor diamond card!
