We've booked our ceremony local and RH, but we haven't booked an officiant yet. Have any of you ladies already booked an officiant?

Re: Did you book your officiant?
no not yet...FH and I aren't religious, so we don't want a religious ceremony. I've heard that Pastor April has written really nice civil ceremonies so I may look into her...other than that, I haven't really thought about it.

you can also try Rev Deb ... she's a really nice person and gives really great and personalized weddings (i'm Jewish so not actually using her, but i've been to a wedding of hers and it was beautiful)

My FFIL is in charge of this. And I highly doubt that he's booked it yet.......

I'm in the same boat - we booked our church back in November and booked the RH in October.

We booked officiant. We are very happy with our decision because I always see on the Bride's Review people raving about him.

Father David Grainson. He is a vendor on the knot and is very nice. I spoke with him over the holidays. I have to call him back to book soon.

We aren't religious - but some family members were upset that we weren't having the ceremony in a church. We went with a Minister, because he performs catholic ceremonies and nonreligious ceremonies. But I can still say I'm being married by a Minister so everyone is happy.

Of this si important to you, please talk to your parish to make sure the marriage will be recognized. It may not be if you're not going through proper channels.
