Do I pack a diaper bag for the trip home? I don't think so, but I wasn't sure. I thought I would ask.

I did, but there really wasn't a need. Some might say that you never know what you'll need, but all you really need is a coming home outfit and a couple of blankets. I stole blankets from the hospital and diapers too! Sshhhh!!

I'm sure you will be going straight home so no. As Niha said a going home outfit and some receiving blankets. The nurses at my hospital were on top of all the recieving blankets in the hospital so I didn't even try to take one.

Stacey...they didnt let you leave with the greenish blue & pink striped receiving blanket that every single hopsital has? But every new Mom should have one of those. I took Luke's for his memory box.
Michele - I dont think you need a diaper bag. Just bring the outfit & a warm blanket and hat since your boo will be born in the colder weather.

Oh I have the receiving blanket and the hospital outfit. I payed good insurance $$ to keep em
I had the diaper bag in the car only because I was a paranoid what if mom. She might poop in the car (which she didnt) in the 20 minutes it took to get home.

I have a Bundle Me so Scott will make sure that is on the car seat when he comes to get us...and if it is a girl can you imagine her NOT having a hat

Don't the hospitals give you a diaper bag? We got a little vinyl diaper bag from the hospital (from Ross Pediatrics - the company that make Similac), and it has a bottle case and two ice packs that WE STILL USE TODAY! I leave this diaper bag at my Mom's for her to use.

Yes, don't forget a warm hat, the one that the hospital gives you will be either knitted or cotton.
The hospital gave me a diaper bag, sponsored by one of the forumla companies. It is more of a cooler, like Claud said with the ice packs.

brought a knapsack that had a going home outfit and a sweater and hat and a blanket. They gave me a small diaper bag with formula, ice packs, etc
TAKE whatever they give you..even if u breastfeed. just put the formula away and it will be there when the time comes. if you never use it, you an donate it .
we stole one of the onsies she wore and rob took it home so the cats could smell it and welcome Julianne home

I was told to TAKE EVERYTHING that the hospital gives you. I took all the diapers & stuff every time I gave him back. When they'd give him back to me the drawer would be filled again. So you can take their diapers/formula ect...
