Re: Did you buy a gift for those who threw your shower?
Yup. My sister/mom threw my first one, my husband's sister/mom threw my second one. My BMs are out of state and are all in grad school (read: poor). They bought his mom/sister each a small gift basket or flowers, and I sent them cards. I bought my mom/sister gifts and my BMs sent them cards. I felt that was most appropriate.

If I can afford it, I'm considering getting them all (3 peeps) a gift certificate for a massage. I'm having flowers delivered to my MOH the day after our wedding, I know she'll love that.

I bought them flowers....
I got a potted plant once...which was really nice since it takes more time for me to kill it...lol

I sent them thank you's, but they will get their gifts at the RD tomorrow!! I feel that the gifts you buy and give at the RD are for being your BM over the whole course of your engagement. I want to thank them for my shower, bachelorette party, support, and friendship. In addition to gifts, I'm also hosting a bridal tea in Stonybrook at the Robinson's tea room and paying for manicures after that. (This Friday ).
