Did you ever ask someone to be in your bridal party and they ignored you?

LOL! This happened to me....

When I got engaged my best friend had just broken up with her long term boyfriend. Everyone was practically waiting for them to get engaged then they broke up, and after dating my now FH for 10 months, we got engaged. So I asked her to be a BM and she was so happy, she said yes...blah blah. In the meantime she kept askin me to go out to bars while she was man hunting etc, and I wasn't into that really, as I had just gotten engaged! I offered to do other things, like movies, coffee.

I kept calling her e-mailing her etc etc she never called me back, long story short, i finally e-mailed her and said I NEED TO KNOW - i have to order dresses etc....she never even e-mailed me back! So I went ahead without her and we haven't spoken since. Just goes to show you your 'friends' true colors.

I am so glad I read this! I am going thru something similiar, my friend I have known since I was 3, is pulling the same stuff, she knpows she has until the 30th to get to the store, she is always out clubbing etc. I also have another friend that is very jealous that I am getting married and has been a pain in the butt with the whole dress thing and she finally found her dress and she thinks she has all the time in the world to go get measured and to order it. I am giving her 2 more weeks and then too bad on her! I just want to put this whole thing behind me, the dress situation, I can totally relate!

Yea, I totally agree - they're just jealous because you've found the one - and they're still out in the single scene

holy cow! that is definite jealousy-but who can just ignore their friend who asked them to be in their wedding?! like she's doing you the favor! good grief. well can't say you didn't try!

exactly...she is jealous. And it really hurt me to move on, but I had to do it. You live and learn .
